2023 Bridal Trends- Colors, Fashion, and Beauty

At CM Events and Design, we regularly research current trends and we also create ideas that are trendsetting. In fashion, there are many dress styles and silhouettes that are familiar but with added details that are trending. They include smooth fabrics with impactful details such as high splits and bows. We will also see drape sleeve and detach sleeve options continue in 2023. Strapless styles are still very popular, but we are also seeing more gowns with a deep plunge detail.

For hair and beauty, long waves will continue. With waves, we typically see headbands and side combs, but pearls will be a popular hair accessory as well. Modern spins on classic updos such as ponytails and sleek buns and hair sections that frame the face will be trending this year. Nudes, soft pinks, or a pop of red are still popular lip options. Smokey and natural looks for the eyes are timeless and are preferred over distinct eyeshadow colors.

We will continue to see more color in floral. We are noticing that couples are selecting less blush, dusty rose, or rose gold and opting for a more variety of colors in their designs. White floral will always be popular, but we are happy to see that couples are incorporating color palettes that are non-traditional but equally as beautiful. Viva Magenta is the Pantone color of the year and this fabulous color was beautifully incorporated into one of the bouquets below. As a planning tip, working with a florist who is comfortable with color and is an expert at creating beautiful floral recipes and arrangements will be essential in executing color well. Sweet Root Village is a premiere wedding florist in the Washington, D.C. area who created beautiful bouquets for our looks.

The three bridal looks we styled all incorporate 2023 beauty, fashion, and color trends. Beauty was provided by Washington, D.C. hair stylist Serena, Tress Art Hair, and one of D.C.s most sought-after makeup artists Makki, Blush By Makki. Bianca at Carine’s Bridal Atelier worked with our team on the gown selection. Carine’s should definitely be on your list of bridal boutiques to visit. They are located in Washington, D.C. near Georgetown. Photography Credit: Hana Gonzalez specializes in wedding and editorial photography in Washington D.C. and internationally.
